Dodgers Finalize Starters For Upcoming Series vs Twins

The Dodgers have announced their three starters for their series against the Minnesota Twins that starts on Monday. Los Angeles has gotten off to a very strong start to the year and will look to keep things going well against Minnesota.

Left-hander James Paxton will get the ball for Los Angeles on Monday to open the series, ace right-hander Tyler Glasnow will face the Twins on Tuesday and second-year man Bobby Miller will take the mound on Wednesday for the Dodgers.

In his debut with the Dodgers, Paxton went five innings against the San Francisco Giants. He allowed zero runs, four hits and struck out five batters. He will look to continue his solid start to his career with the team, making his first road start with Los Angeles.

Glasnow has gotten his career with the Dodgers off to a spectacular start. He has been everything that the front office had hoped for when they traded and extended him this offseason. Through three starts, he holds an ERA of 3.18 and has struck out 15 batters over 17 innings of work.

Miller will look to bounce back from a horrendous start last time out against the Chicago Cubs. He was able to get out of the first inning clean, but everything went downhill from there. He allowed five runs in 1.2 innings of work. Through two starts this season, Miller holds an ERA of 5.87 over 7.2 innings pitched.

Each starter has something to prove as this series gets going tomorrow, but the Dodgers have shown the ability to provide their pitchers with plenty of run support. The Dodgers’ offense has been scorching to start the new year, so they will look to keep the winning ways going strong when they head to the Twin Cities.
