The Seoul Metropolitan Policy Agency reportedly received an email on Wednesday regarding a bomb threat at the Gocheok Sky Dome, where the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres will open their seasons at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday night.

According to Yonhap News, no dangerous or suspicious activity has been found yet. However, the police are tracking down the sender and will deploy 30 commandos and 120 personnel to search the entire stadium.

The league released a statement regarding the threat:

“The safety and security of our fans and everyone in the ballparks where we play are always our first priority. MLB Security works closely with local officials to ensure a safe environment for all those who attend our games. MLB, along with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and other local officials, will continue to monitor the situation closely and take any appropriate steps throughout the event.”

According to local media reports in Korea, the bomb threat specifically mentions Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani as someone they want to harm.

The game is expected to take place as of now.
